The David Allen Company
Online Art Director / Web and Multimedia Graphic Designer / Programmer (2005-2009)

Responsible for the creation of all graphic and multimedia assets for all web sites and web applications, generating the look-and-feel and wire frames of all web-based systems. Worked collaboratively with the Brand Manager to ensure the look-and-feel of all client-facing web-based systems remains brand consistent. Also worked collaboratively with the rest of the web development, executive and marketing teams to generate new ideas for online applications as part of the company’s offerings to clients.

Responsible for the creation of multimedia assets such as Flash (AS3), PHP, MYSQL, rich audio and rich video content. This  included subcontracting the execution of these projects. This position handled shooting/lighting & editing, encoding, uploading and cataloging media for delivery to clients, especially in regard to “GTD | Connect”. Developed additional multimedia assets, as needed.

Senior Flash Designer / Streaming Media Consultant (2004-2006)
Was contracted to build and maintain yU+co’s new website by working closely with Garson Yu, Founder and Creative Director. A huge amount of advanced Actionscriping was required to create this current site which was an Official Honoree of the  10th Annual Webby Awards (Best Visual Design – Aesthetic) in 2006 AND 2006 - Graphic Design USA: http://www.yuco.com - Certificate of Excellence in Communication and Graphic Design. Also built multimedia presentations for proposals for the Chinese Olympics.

GM Defense / General Dynamics
Art Director, Director of Interactive Design, Manager and Lead Technician of Research and Development (2001 - 2004)
Created groundbreaking Virtual Reality (3D immersive) training applications utilizing Macromedia Director’s built-in 3D engine and positional tracking hardware (3rdTech Hiball and Intersense Virtual Work Bench IS-900). Configured systems and application prototypes for DARPA’s Future Combat Systems computer vision and Virtual & Augmented Reality programs as it applied to training and maintenance. Worked closely with Ron Azuma (HRL Laboratories) on an unprepared augmented reality research project funded by GM Defense. Developed a system of converting Pro-Engineer files of weapon systems, acquired from GD’s engineering department, into a 3D format that allowed the creation of scriptable 3D environments for Training & Maintenance applications, based on knowledge acquired through the research & development effort. Created a 3D familiarization application for the LAV-25 Turret Weapon System for the Taiwan Army. Managed funding up to $1 million, developed budgets, proposals, manpower estimates and quotes of work. Hosted and conducted meetings with high profile clients, including members of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and Taiwanese Officials.

Designed the interface layout for the Stryker (Remote Weapon Station) Embedded Trainer. Created Training Scenarios on the Instructor Operator System (IOS) workstation for the Stryker RWS Embedded Trainer.

Created CD-Rom and Web-based training applications for General Dynamics and GM Defense products. Other responsibilities included Project Coordinator, Manager, and Art Director of the multimedia department. Managed a team and coordinated with project managers and technical writers for business development and strategies, training and maintenance materials, business quotes, quarterly reviews, reports, interviews, managing all marketing materials, such as, brochures, presentations, CD-ROMs, websites, videos and tradeshows.

Responsibilities included Print and Web Design & Programming. Corporate branding and logo design, Created FLASH Animations, video and audio productions, web and print design, and managed web accounts for top clients in the Latin American Sector (http://www.diveo.net), World Bank, and IMF. Storyboarded and set up lighting for corporate video documentaries.

OneSoft (The E-Commerce Company)
Art Director, Sr. Interface Designer / Sr. Consultant (1999 - 2000)
Managed team of 10 designers and Programmers that designed and developed Internet systems information architectures including: the development of the systems’ site page layout, page inventory, interface and graphic design and development tools and style and standards guides for customer system interfaces. Interviewed and gathered the creative requirements of OneSoft’s customers. Projects: Donna Karan, DKNY, Playboy International, Allpets.com, Filmlocker.

Online Communications
Art Director (1999)
Directed a staff of four graphic designers and programmers to create an internet presence, managed, produced and maintained accounts for Celebrex, Searle, Pfizer, and PhRMA State. Responsible for OLC’s corporate identity on the Internet and for publications. Created production policies and development procedure documentation.

Art Director (1998 - 1999)
Designed and maintained corporate image materials including web site design, print media, letterhead, and logo. Provided direction of look and feel of all Division projects including video production and editing, interface design of internet & intranet projects, CBT, and interactive media.

University OnLine Publishing, Inc.
Art Director (1996 - 1998)
Hired and managed a staff of five graphic designers and programmers. Responsible for University On-Line’s entire corporate presence for the Internet and various publications. Designed corporate logo other corporate collateral. Participated heavily in the design and development of both the campus and Web-Based Distance Learning Courseware. Other activities included photomontage, illustrations, HTML, JavaScript, SHOCKWAVE quizzes and animations, and Web page design / layout for various Internet accounts.
